Colonic: (Colon Hydrotherapy):
I have been a foot zoner for many years. It has amazed me how many of my clients complain about the same problems, such as constipation or some other digestive problem. I love foot zoning and highly recommend it but it seems to be too subtle. Obviously, I am not a Doctor. I do not prognose, prescribe, treat, or diagnose. Having digestion problems myself, I was doing some research and happened to come across a seminar. I listened to a lady who is a C.N.C., digestive health and cleansing expert. She was amazing. She made so much sense, and she is an expert! She gave simple, common sense advice; diet, fiber, probiotics, exercise, yoga, water, good sleep, and Hydrotherapy, (colonic). I decided to try a colonic. WOW! It was great! I knew it would be my next adventure. I found training and I am excited to help others.
My supportive and wonderful husband re-modeled a private and sterile bathroom in our basement where clients can have a private colonic. It has been so rewarding seeing my clients feel so much better in a short period of time, and it seems as if most health problems are improved by getting a colonic.
Here is some of the C.N.C.'s advice, which I learned from her seminar, books, and CD's:
"There is a formula called the HOPE formula. It includes the following:
H = High Fiber: DIetary fiber add bulk to the diet, which helps to strengthen and tone the colon muscles. Fiber also helps absorb and eliminate choleterol, toxins, and excess calories from the digestive tract.
O = Omega Oils. Natural omega oils provide the necessary lubrication for smooth and gentle bowel elimination. The healthy oils also help nourish cells in the intestinal tract and throughout the body, relieving inflammation.
P = Probiotics. Beneficial probiotics promote healthy digestive and immune function by crowding out harmful bacteria in the digestive tract and promoting the growth of healthy flora. Probiotics also produce antibacterial compounds and stimulate the immune system.
E = Enzymes. Digestive enzymes help break down a variety of foods such as carbohydrates, proteins, fats, sugars, and dairy. They also enhance nutrient absorption from food."
"Many people have just one bowel movement per day and think this is normal. A daily bowel movement may still be considered constipation especially when taking into consideration the amount of feces eliminated in the bowel movement. A daily bowel movement of one and a half feet , which is about the size of the left side of the colon, would be considered normal by natural health practitioners. This may be broken up into two or three movements per day, or sometimes in just one bowel movement."
There is no odor or health risk involved when a colonic is performed correctly by a trained colonic therapist. Some benefits may include improved tone of colon muscles, reduced stagnation of intestinal contents, and reduced toxic waste absorption.
Unlike chemical laxatives, it does not encourage dependancy, but according to the International Association of Colon Hydrotherapy, it does help to tone the bowel. Some of my clients have asked their Doctors about colonics and I am happy to say they have been quite supportive. Colonics, along with good common sense, are a great detox.
